Purpose in pain, exhausted relief.
A paradox for sinners, of whom I am chief;
Divine forgiveness, hope in belief.

A close friend recently had a stillborn son. Was contemplating his profound grief, as well as his hope of reuniting with his boy by and by. Was unusually struck by this “strange paradox.”
