Proverbs 25:1-2. These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter (Prov. 25:1-2). Trying to understand the Almighty can only be done insofar as He has revealed Himself. Those things He does not feel man has a need to know, they stay to Himself. On the other hand, what He wants His creation to know and understand, He gives sufficient information to help us reach out for Him. That is the nature of God, but what about a king in the realm below? The king is an administrator of human affairs; things of this world may not be known and understood, but the wisdom of man is such that he is to seek to understand and then, as required, administer justice. If he fails in this endeavor, his subjects suffer. #bibleproverbs
