Not Even the Lord
Proverbs 29:1. He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Stubbornness is not a good quality to have, but there are occasions when it is very profitable for a person to be stubborn. Wisdom knows when to apply this approach to life and when not. When one is stubborn in right matters, others take note and some amongst those “others” seek to bring the stubborn one down. At the end of the day, the stubborn one can sleep at night. On the other hand, if one is stubborn in matters evil, stubborn in matters that can’t be rationally defended, separation begins to occur and even if one feels as if he or she can sleep at night, they may sleep lonely, with no one on their side, even the Lord.
